This Privacy Policy explains how Lingolet Inc. (“Lingolet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with the LinguaStage platform and related services (the “Service”).

This Policy is provided in accordance with applicable law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”). By using the Service, you acknowledge this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and contact information, such as name, email address, organization, and role;
  • Billing information, such as plan, transaction records, and payment details processed by our payment provider;
  • Customer Content, such as audio, transcripts, translations, glossaries, and meeting materials you or your participants provide;
  • Usage and device data, such as log files, IP address, browser type, feature usage, and diagnostic information;
  • Communications, such as messages you send us through the contact form or support channels.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service;
  • Process transcription, translation, captioning, and related AI features;
  • Manage accounts, billing, and customer support;
  • Monitor performance, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain security;
  • Communicate with you about the Service and respond to inquiries; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Audio, Transcripts, and AI Processing

To provide live captions and interpreting, audio you submit is processed by automated speech recognition and machine translation systems, which may include trusted third-party processors. We use this content to deliver the requested features and to operate and maintain the Service. We do not use your Customer Content to train third-party public AI models without your instruction or consent.

You are responsible for obtaining all consents required to record and process meeting audio and participant information.

4. How We Share Information

We may disclose information to:

  • Service providers and processors (e.g., cloud hosting, speech, translation, and email vendors) who process information on our behalf under contractual obligations;
  • The organization that administers your account, where you use the Service as part of an organization;
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security; and
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information and Customer Content for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of Customer Content associated with your account, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA provides you the following rights, subject to certain exceptions:

  • Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
  • Right to delete personal information we have collected from you;
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (note: we do not sell or share personal information);
  • Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and
  • Right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights.

You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences (such as language), security, and to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

11. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States and may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect indicates your acknowledgment of the updated Policy.
